Hats are over rated. There are a couple reasons for them, controling hair, and the sun. If hair is the reason, let it get longer or make it shorter. If sun, then use discretion.

Haberdashery needs a comeback!
“The Art Of Manliness” has a room for that.

Ehhh some people are trying it and it hasn't really worked out. I know precisely one person, a professor, who regularly wears a suit with a matching fedora (like the one you posted, not the stupid douche hat everybody else wears), and he mostly pulls it off. That being said, you could always start going to the Kentucky derby. Pretty common there.

Its mostly neckbeards on reddit who try to emulate indiana jones or some kind of gangster who attempt such feats of head wear. the above man is a rareity in being able to pull of that hat maybe its cuz he is black. I have this theory that black men can wear whatever and look hip.

It’s mostly about confidence. If you feel comfortable in whatever you’re wearing and you like it, and it’s not so out there that your friends and the people around are just going “wtf is wrong with you?”, you’re fine. All that stuff is relative. No matter what you’re wearing somebody is going to think you look like an idiot, so wear what you like.
Lots of the people in my neighborhood here in Paris give me funny looks when I wear shorts, but on the flip side some American brands have a very different perception here. So you’ll see 30 somethings wearing Abercrombie and Hollister or whatever trying to look rich and “cool”, but through the lens of my own experience they just looks like dweeby high schoolers.
